R301 Goju USA Ring
Coming from Okinawa, Master Chojun Miyagi introduced the Japanese to both hard and soft karate styles known as Goju. He instructed his art at Kyoto Imperial University where he revealed there were fifty (Ju in Japanese is fifty) diversified hard and soft techniques of hand and foot strikes. In approximately the year 1930 the first Goju Federation was formed in Japan. In 1955 Master Peter Urban after many years of study in Japan brought the Goju style to the United States. He organized the first American federation of Goju stylists under the title U.S.A. Goju.
Mastering many of the Goju techniques involve blocking and countering in one motion. The Sunfist, Iron Palm, and Tiger Claw are some of the many techniques developed with practice and patience. Goju systems use 60 percent hand and 40 percent leg technique.
Show your pride with this beautifully made ring. Quality and pride in workmanship go hand and hand with pride and accomplishment of Goju U.S.A. Karate.
